[mythtv-users] Poor Sound

First time posting, but I have gotten many good answers by searching  the
archive. Thanks to all that have contributed.

My Configuration
ADM 2400
512MB RAM
80GB 7200 rpm drive
Pixelview BTTV card
au8830 sound card
Mythtv 0.13 and MythMusic 0.13
gentoo Linux
lirc with the zapway device

The sound for MythMusic is great.  No complains.  However sound on the
MythTV is only on the left side and sounds poor.  The voices are muffled. 
I modified the sample rate and the left side only sound improved.

xawtv with "aplay /dev/dsp" has sound on both sides.  The mythtv
configuration seems like the culprit, but I can't find where.

Any suggestion are welcome.
