Anyone have a clue on this? Should I go buy a new Sound Card? Should I
scrap this tuner card? I have no hair left.....

Maybe this will help? Here's a copy of modules.conf from my RH 9 box. I've
tried changing the bttv tuner type to all sorts...mainly the bt878 chipset
cards...all seem to have the same affect thus far. I think this card is
relatively new, but not too sure.

This is what the box says:

V-Stream Xpert TV-PVR PCI (Model #: VS-TV878RF) Made by Kworld Computers

I also include the output from lspci -v at the bottom for a better look at
my audio and tuner devices. I think there might just be something I'm
missing here being a n00b.

Thanks!

Scott

Well after you mentioned btaudio last I was wondering....is this module made
for dual outputs at well as Brooktree tuners? I've got a K-World/V-Stream
tuner with Brooktree BT878 chipset. Video works fine with a Phillips NTSC
card type...but I have yet to get audio working. My plan is to use this
tuner as a second tuner (if I can get the SoB working!) and purchase a
PVR-250/350 for the main tuner that way I can record one station and watch
another...blah blah blah

I did an "insmod btaudio" last night and of course btaudio fired up, but I
don't know if there are any settings I need to change to try and get it
working this way instead. Couldn't find much info on it...I'm on the prowl
for btaudio info right now ;-)

Huh. I suppose that's possible, because you should definitely hear audio
from the card when live TV is active and you have your speakers hooked
directly to it... I haven't heard of any TV cards that allow their line out
to be muted, as there generally isn't any reason for that, so that's odd (or
there is such a thing, and I've never come across it)...
