[mythtv-users] No sound through sound card

I installed MythTV 0.12 via KnoppMyth. However, my sound is not working.
If I plug the speakers into my capture card (WinTV 401), I get sound,
but if I run a cable from line out to the line in on my soundcard (an
onboard Creative chip), I get nothing. I checked in ALSAmixer thinking
something was wrong there, but there is nothing I can find--I followed
all of the instructions from the MythTV website (master unmuted, line
muted), but nothing seems to help (side note: I saw on the MythTV site
that Capture is supposed to be muted--however, alsamixer will not allow
me to mute it--when I press M, nothing happens: could this be causing it?).

I feel like I am so close to getting MythTV finally running, but this
seemingly simple sound problem has me beat. Any help is appreciated.
