[mythtv-users] No Sound

Hi,
I have had this also..mostly when I start KDE, sometimes I get message along
the lines of "cannot start sound server" from KDE startup.
After a while it kicks into life!
Strange thing though: I am using VIA AC97 onboard sound.
Using latest ALSA (rc6). Works fine in all other respects.
Kind of sounds suspiciously like a race condition.

Curious....

Still not at the point of Myth working so I'm still trouble-shooting in
XAWTV for now.  I have yet to get any sound pass from my capture card to my
sound card, though it works in a Win9x system.

My sound card works most of the time but occasionally errors in one of two
ways - one on bootup about being unable to start the device, the other when
I try to open a WAV file and it says to check the connections.  Ironically,
I can get the 2nd error, then it will work a few mins later.

Here is my /etc/modules.conf in case that helps (the only thing I did in
here was modify the BTTV line to get my capture card working):

Any suggestions on a fix?
