Oops, forgot to mention, I'm using an Nvidia MX440 with the proper nvidia 
driver.  Myth finds the XV extentions when the frontend starts up and X is 
using no CPU.  firing up mplayer while mythtv is recording doesn't cause 
the loading problems.
