As long as you're asking for features, have a thread that generates
thumbnails scaled down appropriately so that when you enter the icon
view it isn't trying to read and scale 2MB files in real time.  (I've
got lots of pictures captured in a high res and on a P3/733Mhz
frontend scrolling takes a while)
