  I ran into the same problem here, tv_grab_sn ... the only solution I could 
find, was to run mythfilldatabase with '--manual' and manually type in the 
channel number.  The correct channel numbers, I took from xawtv ... printed 
them out.

  Some outomation feature would be nice though...
