Hi,

sorry to post this question again, but i can't seem to get it done
right. I am running mythtv v.0.9.1 on a linuxfromscratch-system. Thanks
to the great support on the mailing-list-archives I was able to get
mythtv up and running.

Here is the (already posted and answered) problem that i can't solve:

I want to use the mythfilldatabase-option to fill my database. I tried
(almost ?!?) everything. I used the patch, written by AV (avalanche)
that was posted here:
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/perl/mailarc/gforum.cgi?post=60653
Maybe i have done something wrong, but i "just" compiled the
mythfilldatabase with the new .cpp.
I got the same output as always (it is skipping the channels due like
this
"Unknown xmltv channel identifier: ZDF
Skipping channel."
I used
mythfilldatabase --manual --xawchannels /dev/video /user/.xawtv
which gave me the option to rename the channels to the names
mythfilldatabase is obviously looking for, but still it didn't work

Then i used the python-grabber you can find here:
http://www.bucksch.org/1/projects/various/xmltv/ (written by Ben
Buksch),
which failed due to unconventional characters it was not able to parse
(during the command
mythfilldatabase --file /dev/video -1 /usr/share/xmltv/all.xmltv

I tried several other things (including insertig data in the database
manually), but none of them worked, so it is not worth posting them
here.

Would some user who is using tv_grab_de successfully please be so kind
to give me any hints/tips how i can get this working? A mysql-dump
would of course be the best (since i might be to bugtrace and/or write
my own tool), but i appreciate any possible solutions. Also any kind of
hints on your naming of the channels would be nice, since this may be a
problem too.

Thank you very much in advance and sorry again for posting this
question again in the list, but i have lost sooo many hairs since i
tried to get it going (which was 1 week ago).

Hans
