Well it's not a MythTV problem though.
XFree itself isn't filling up the screen correctly.
I'd guess that changing the offset options in MythTV are just for it's 
window and settings 'within' the X environment.
So if the X environment is not centerd on the screen, MythTV can't 
control that.

Or am I wrong?
