I was more worried about vga drivers etc. Here's a link

"The are about 13cm high from the pci slot." was the reply I got from 
Hauppauge.
They haven't responded to my info regarding the length which appears to be 
the issue
  with most cases.

Not sure, I think with the PVR-250, most of the work will be done in 
hardware.  Have you thought about using a Shuttle XPC? Nice size and all 
your performance issues just go away, more expensive though. Looking at the 
Shuttle Case pictures, there seems to be more room for cards.
