[mythtv-users] Mythbackend status

Hi

I would like to get the current status of a running mythbackend. 
My mythbackend keeps locking up from time to time. Then I need to login into 
my backend and restart mythbackend. Now I would like to write a cron-script 
that checks the status of mythbackend an restarts it if nessesary.

Any ideas?
