I have had spectacular success with the RF remote which came with my ATI
Radeon 7500. I think it's sold standalone as the ATI Remote Wonder:

When the kernel driver (also using a patch I think I got off the freevo
website) is loaded, everything works with Mythtv right out of the box.
X11 sees it as just another USB keyboard/mouse. The arrow keys on the
mouse are mapped to the keypad arrow keys, "Ok" is mapped to enter,
"Stop" is mapped to Esc -- it really made watching MythTV on the screen
simpler. And it's RF!
