[mythtv-users] problem re-using PVR-250

Hi List!

I've managed to get the driver for the PVR-250 working (I think). I can
do a modprobe ivtv, and then cat /dev/video0 > file.mpg, which gives me
an mpeg file full of noise (as I would expect).

However, when I do <ctrl>-c to cancel the capture, any subsequent "cat"
commands to capture video result in a:
cat: /dev/video0: Input/Output error

In the ivtv faq, they mention this as a possible configuration problem,
but surely if I can capture once, it's configured correctly?

In /var/log/messages, the failure generates:
ivtv: Timeout waiting for data!
ivtv: EOS Interupt not received! Stopping anyway.

I have a UK/PAL card if that helps. I can do an rmmod ivtv and then a
modprobe ivtv and I can do another capture that way, but is this how it
should be?

Does this mean anything to anyone? Does anyone know what the fix is or
what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,
Andy
