[mythtv-users] How to use mythtranscode?

Is there some document on how to use mythtranscode? It would seem that I 
can use it from the command line maybe?

Also, lately with RTJPEG, I'm getting HUGE files. Like 12G+ for an hour. 
The only thing I can think of is that I messed with turning off audio 
compression. I turned it back on, but maybe the re-setting didn't work? 
(The 12G file should have been recorded with RTJPEG, Q 170, 320 x 480, 
MP3 7.)
