[mythtv-users] /dev/video0 crashes sytem

I am trying to get a Hauppauge PVR-250 to work on RH9. When I choose to
Watch TV in mythfrontend I see the captured video on the screen for a few
seconds and then the system freezes; all I/O becomes non-responsive, and I
have to power-cycle.

I tried 'mplayer /dev/video0' and the same thing happens: after a few
seconds of (BTW, excellent quality) video the machine crashes. Same result
doing 'cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg'. If I ctrl-C within a second or so,
before the machine crashes, I can succesfully playback test.mpg.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Andrea
