I got my two-for-$whatever remotes but I'm having problems with lircd.
I'm running RH9, mythtv and lircd installed from the atrpms package.
Maybe it's just too late to be dealing with this :)

Getting this from lircd:
ircd 0.7.0pre2[2163]: could not open config file '/etc/lircd.conf'
lircd 0.7.0pre2[2163]: No such file or directory
lircd 0.7.0pre2[2163]: lircd(hauppauge) ready
lircd 0.7.0pre2[2163]: accepted new client on /dev/lircd
lircd 0.7.0pre2[2163]: could not get hardware features
lircd 0.7.0pre2[2163]: this device driver does not support the new LIRC
interface
lircd 0.7.0pre2[2163]: make sure you use a current version of the driver
lircd 0.7.0pre2[2163]: caught signal
Terminated

And in /var/adm/messages:
Nov 22 01:06:35 pluto lircd 0.7.0pre2[2163]: No such file or directory
Nov 22 01:06:35 pluto lircd 0.7.0pre2[2163]: lircd(hauppauge) ready
Nov 22 01:06:37 pluto irrecord: could not get hardware features
Nov 22 01:06:37 pluto irrecord: this device driver does not support the
new LIRC interface
Nov 22 01:06:37 pluto irrecord: make sure you use a current version of the
driver
Nov 22 01:06:40 pluto lircd 0.7.0pre2[2163]: accepted new client on
/dev/lircd

features
Nov 22 01:06:40 pluto lircd 0.7.0pre2[2163]: this device driver does not

version of the driver

irrecord gives me (same with and without lircd running):
[root at pluto root]# irrecord /tmp/foo

irrecord - application for recording IR-codes for usage with lirc

Copyright (C) 1998,1999 Christoph Bartelmus(lirc at bartelmus.de)

irrecord: could not init hardware (lircd running ? --> close it, check
permissions)

My /dev/lircd is a symlink to /dev/ttyS2.

Any ideas?

Thanks
