Yeah, anybody using btaudio (like me) is likely stuck with 32kHz, so I 
have to upsample to 44.1kHz.  When doing SVCD, you can probably just 
check the input sample rate (from nuvinfo?) and if it's not 44.1kHz, 
build the command with resampling, otherwise don't resample.
