[mythtv-users] Using an IR Blaster with MythTV

Robert,
      I was just wondering if you could give me some 1 on 1 help getting an
IR blaster to work here.  I just went through a fresh install of RH9 and
MythTV this time using Jarod's documentation.  I have it running now, but I
am really anxious to get this blaster working
Now I dont see anything in the documentation for IR blasters about the lirc
RC portion.  Isnt this needed?
can you steer me in the right direction.

This is what I use to install, at least to step 9:

You don't have to do the whole thing, but it'd probably be a good idea to
do Steps 6 and 7 to update your OS and update the kernel.  I use this even
on non-myth boxes.
