[mythtv-users] Black Screen and Hanging when trying to watch TV

I have a similar problem. I use a Hauppauge WinTV BT878 PCI on a SuSE 8.2. 
Starting LiveTV crashes the backend and in the frontend there only stays a 
black screen telling me in the console that it tries to connect to the 
backend. But the backend has already crashed with the following messages:

ioctl VIDIOC_G_FMT: Das Argument ist ungültig
mythbackend: ratecontrol.c:362: get_qminmax: Zusicherung »qmin <= qmax« nicht 
erfüllt.
