Did you loaded the driver (lirc_dev) and maybe it's underlying device drivers (like lirc_i2c)? Try lsmod. If this is succesfull, make a 'ps aux' and see if you can find the kernel thread [lirc_dev]. Try also 'irw' to test the configuration. Dirk
