Thanks to Jarod Wilson for writing the install guide for RH9. I am
following this guide and getting some errors after I install ivtv.
Background,
I have AMD 2500, Asus A7N8x motherboard, 512MB, Chaintech 64MB AGP
GeForce 4 MX 440 w/S-Video out, Hauppauge WinTV PVR-250 (w/the grey
remote)
In Jarod's guide everything went fine until I got to step 11.
My Kernel is, 2.4.20-20_29.rh9.
I installed ivtv using,
apt-get install ivtv-kmdl-$KERNEL
I inserted the lines Jarod specified into /etc/modules.conf.
Output from rpm -q ivtv is,
# rpm -q ivtv
ivtv-0.12-cvs20030929_13.rh9.at
I get the following from /sbin/depmod -a command
[root at localhost mythtv]# /sbin/depmod -a
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in
/lib/modules/2.4.20-20_29.rh9.at/drivers/media/video/ivtv-fb.o

In the next step I get,
[root at localhost mythtv]# /sbin/modprobe ivtv
/lib/modules/2.4.20-20_29.rh9.at/drivers/media/video/ivtv.o: unresolved
symbol i2c_bit_del_bus

/lib/modules/2.4.20-20_29.rh9.at/drivers/media/video/ivtv.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.20-20_29.rh9.at/drivers/media/video/ivtv.o: insmod ivtv
failed
I am also getting this i2c error on startup that I assume is unrelated
but thought I should mention.
Starting lm_sensors: starting up sensors can't access /proc file
/proc/sys/dev/sensors/chips or /proc/bus/i2c unreable
It gives me this error when booting.
Thanks for the help. I am looking forward to using MythTV
