[mythtv-users] avi-000 file?

I just Ripped / Transcoded a dvd and now my video directory contains two 
files. 
one is called mymovie.avi and is 1.7G and the other is called mymovie.avi-000 
and is 2.1G they both play okay. 
I have transcoded things before and I only got one file (the .avi).

Is the .avi-000 a temp file that can be deleted?

is the .avi-000 the file with the surrond sound in it? I can't tell when I 
watch it because I only have two speakers on my computer right now.
