It appears to be necessary, before you attempt to access /dev/video0, to
kill the "artsd" sound daemon that runs under KDE. I created a simple
shell script in ~/.ked/Autostart that runs a `killall artsd` before it
calls mythfrontend. Rather than simply sym-linking mythfrontend in to the
autostart directory. As well, from experience, I do a `sleep 5` before
calling mythfrontend as that seems to allow things to complete
appropriately. This is also where I call test_ioctl to set my 2GB/hr
setting for my pvr250.

Other than the artsd problem, and using the latest driver for the SIS card,
from the site you list, everything worked. Ignore my earlier message, when
I started from scratch again with your docs, the above noted changes were
all that was required. A big thanks to you and Axel for all your work in
helping us get these systems running.

Thanks again,

-Jeff
