[mythtv-users] Copying recordings into /var/lib/mythtv

Ok, lets say a person was to want to reinstall and had a brilliant idea to copy his precious recorded programs (World Cup Rugby) to another PC while he reinstalled his Myth box. Then copied them back. I was thinking it would be easy, but no! After copying back into /var/lib/mythtv they do not show as watchable shows in the TV section of Mythtv. How would I get Mythtv to see those recorded programs for me to be able to watch? Do I have the right folder? I thought that was where I copied them from in the first place.
