[mythtv-users] RPM packages?

Here is another question concerning my MythTV install party.  Is there any
way to create my own apt repository on my lan so that the 6 machines at my
house won't choke my DSL when we all do a dist-upgrade?

Here is how I'd think I'd do it:
Create a web server
download all the packages, maybe just the pertainent repositories. how to do
this I don't know yet.
put packages on said webserver
edit the sources list to just have my webservers address
apt-get update
and go from there?

Thoughts? Ideas?
