I have a RH9 PVR-350 system and upgraded to .12 today via sources. I
can't get working auto-transcoding from MPEG2 (done in hardware by the
PVR-350) to MPEG4. Specifically, I get the error "Illegal profile :
autodetect". Here are the relevant lines from mythbackend.log file
(with verbose logging enabled):

Illegal profile : autodetect
The last line of the log file suggests that the problem is with
profiles. I'm using the default profile settings. The only change I
may have made is enabling auto-transcoding. Specifically, the relevant
parts of the relevant profiles are:
Group: MPEG-2 Encoders (PVR-250, PVR-350)
Profile: Default
- Auto transcoding enabled
- Codec: MPEG-2 Hardware Encoder
- Stream Type: MPEG2-PS
- Aspect Ratio: 4:3
- Bitrate: 4500
- Max Bitrate: 6000
Group: Transcoders
Profile: RTjpeg/MPEG4
- Auto transcoding enabled
- Codec: MPEG-4
The recording works correctly, and I have confirmed that it is in MPEG-2
format. Any suggestions of what I should do to get transcoding to
MPEG-4 working?
Thank you.
Ellen
