[mythtv-users] Recording Video Slow Down

Sure, but then it must be something else that is slowing down the video
playback.  What could it be?

I know for sure, 100% that it has something to do with the de-interlacing
mechanism.  The slow-down doesn't occur when I de-select it and it
definitely occurs when I do select the de-interlacing option.  This is
very repeatable on my system.

What else could the slow down be caused by in the de-interlacing method?
