Not sure whether they are the same problems you're seeing, but I'm 
getting this when I try following section 22 of the Myth How-To (using 
today's ivtv CVS and the latest hauppauge firmware:

I am a novice, but I did get ivtv working under Mandrake 9.1 in an 
earlier go-round.  This time I tried to get ivtv going rather earlier 
in the install process, hoping to avoid having something else fail when 
it went looking for ivtv...maybe I'm missing some dependencies.

I'd be interested in hearing that someone had ivtv working with 
Mandrake 9.2...otherwise maybe I'm wading into something too deep for 
my noob self :)
