Huh. Well, looking in /var/log/dmesg worked for me, but I'm told this 
works in some cases where that doesn't:

# dmesg |grep ivtv

It is best to do this just after booting up also (or after unloading 
and reloading the ivtv drivers), otherwise the log may roll over on 
you. Looking today at my system that has been up for quite some time, I 
get no results.
