That's one of a few sets I've been looking at purchasing, so I hope it

Well, I guess I didn't think about it until now, but I don't know if
that TV will deinterlace video coming in on the DVI port.  You would at
least have to set the video adapter to output an interlaced signal (and
even then, I don't know if people have managed to properly work out how
to guarantee that the fields are being output in the right order, etc).

An alternative would be to do deinterlacing on the computer, but getting
anything nearly as nice as what the TV can do itself would require
integrating code from DScaler/tvtime into MythTV.  That's something I've
wanted to do for a long time, but I don't have the programming prowess
to handle it..

Hopefully, the TV would provide some good video modes through the VESA
DDC information (these are usually printed out in the XFree86 logs when
it starts up, if info is provided by the display device).  However, I'm
guessing that most HDTVs either don't provide the information, or
provide modes that you really don't want...

Unfortunately, there's very little technical information available on
these points, at least as far as I can find.
