I must have had my versions mixed up sorry. I see you fixed the problem
now.
I was trying to track down a problem I am having using your script .
I get

'Couldn't find recording 1548 Sun Aug 3 01:30:00 2003'

I have tried a few different programs, and I get the same results. Am I
missing a prerequisite?

No cutlist found.  Hopefully this means that you already removed the
commercials.
Audio bitrate? [192]
Maximum video bitrate for VBR? [2500]
VBR quality/quantisation (2-31)? [5]
Enable noise reduction (slower, but better results)? [Yes]
