FWIW, I was experiencing backend crashes ~ 2/day w/ 0.11, but they weren't 
timed to watching TV.  I didn't have time to troubleshoot the problem (I 
know, lame excuse!) so I reverted to the 7/31 cvs and haven't had a drop 
since.  Neither did I have drops before 0.11.  If I get some time, I'll run 
the 0.11 backend under gdb (per the HOWTO) and see if I can pin down the 
culprit.
