[mythtv-users] All-in-Wonder Radeon 7500

Please, search the e-mail archives, this question
comes up quite often.

To summarize:
1. No, the AIW series cannot be used for capture.  My
understanding is that the capture modules are not
Video4Linux compatable (designed for xawtv, and
nothing else).
2. The AIW series cards can be used for TV-Out.  You
need to rebuild your X server (only XFree86 4.2.0)
with the experimental GATOS CVS branch (I don't
remember the tree name).  I have suceeded in getting
TV-Out to owrk, but not in getting MythTV to work with
it.  That's because I gave up after having to
recompile Qt, as well as other packages to stop MythTV
from segfaulting.

I'm quite sure that it can be made to work a bit more
easily if you started off with Gentoo, I just decided
that it wasn't worth the effort, since I was using Red
Hat 9.
