[mythtv-users] Making fbset changes permanent

Hi all,

I've been playing around with fbset on my Matrox G400
lately (again), and have gotten a great picture
finally. My original plans were to buy a scan
converter, but I've decided to keep this going.

What I'm looking for now, is a way to make my
framebuffer settings automatically happen when my
machine boots up. Currently, I boot up into runlevel
4 (unused on Red Hat), and used a C program
contributed by somebody on the list to automatically
log me in. From there, X starts up, and .xinitrc
loads the Myth frontend, sets up my remote, etc.

However, what happens is that my fbset command doesn't
run within .xinitrc. Does anybody have a way that I
can run the fbset command after X has started up,
without having to SSH in and do it manually? If I SSH
into the machine, I can run fbset without a problem.

Additionally, maybe somebody knows how I can convert
this into an XFree86 modeline, so that it
audomatically gets set?

Thanks for any help,
Joe
