[mythtv-users] transcoding on a non mythtv box

Well, considering that mythtranscode is part of mythtv, and you need
mythtranscode and its fifo trick to use my nuvexport script (only thing
I know of at the moment that easily deals with transcoding to mpeg),
you'd need mythtv.  Then again, if your nuv files are from a pvr-250
type card, you'd be fine with the standard assortment of mpeg encoding
tools.
