mplayer has hit version 1.0pre1 -- and it has tivo ty file support built
into it. if you have somehow extracted the streams (whether it be by
mfs_ftp or some other means), you can easily play back the show by just
issuing it to mplayer 

mplayer -quiet ./x-games.ty

the one bummer is that this version of mplayer, unlike wingert's
tivo-mplayer, doesn't seem to have vserver support -- so streaming
directly from the tivo seems like its out.

Maybe that will change before the 1.0 final.
