[mythtv-users] lock up and blank screen when trying to watch tv

Hi, 

I have a P3 1.0Ghz 512M shuttle cube I'm trying to get mythtv running
on.

I put a wintv card in for the capture (bt878).

I started with a fresh RH9 install, and tested that xawtv worked
correctly before proceeding.

I then installed atrpms-kickstart.

I updated using apt-get (including kernel and sources) then did apt-get
install mythtv-suite.

Everything seemed to work fine. I downloaded the channel guide after
setting up mysql.

All of the menus in mythfrontend work fine to navigate channels,
programs, setup of video sources, etc.

The issue came up when I selected TV -> Watch TV.

Complete lockup and I was kicked out of the ssh session to that machine
from another as well. Nothing but a hard reboot would correct it.

Once rebooted, I tried to record a program and it locked the same way.

Looking through the log file shows nothing interesting at all.

Has anyone else had this problem?
