Re: [mythtv-users] Case questionShoot, shoot, shoot! I said RCA, I meant to say s-video. Many apologies.
I just wanted to be able to do some video editing on my Myth box along with the PVR.

Clayton,
I pretty much echo Dave's suggestion of the Audigy platinum if you absolutely cannot live without RCA jacks. You can also try piece together a solution with some of the handy connectors at FrontX:
http://www.frontx.com/index.html
Unfortunately, they don't appear to have RCA audio (though they do have Composite and S-Video for those of you out there looking to use the motherboard headers on the precious few boards that support it ). You could get around this by substituting a standard RCA audio cable.
All this effort begs the question, why are you making things so complicated? You could just grab a Y-adapter from stereo micro to RCA and be out a few bucks. Good luck no matter what you do and let us know if you find another solution!

RCA Jacks in front? That would seem to be a function of the sound card, and there are several cards out there which have RCA jacks. I own an SB Audigy Platinum (and love it), which have them. And C-Media has started including them on some of the on-board soundcards with higher-end motherboards. I haven't heard of any of these cards having headers for the RCA jacks (C-Media does the RCA Jacks with some extra junk by way of a unified header, from what I've seen). The SB Audigy Platinum (which is NOT cheap) is the only thing I've seen that has RCA Jacks in the front (through the Live Drive).
Peace,
DAVE

Has anyone seen a case that lets you connect rca jacks in front? I've seen lots of cases with usb and firewire in the front, but not rca. Thanks.
