[mythtv-users] Mythweb and javascript

And now that I've been thinking about Mythweb and javascript, what do
people feel about javascript in general?

Currently, mythweb uses javascript for some functions, but does not
REQUIRE it.  This has always been my sentiment - to use javascript where
it can enhance the user experience, but not break functionality for
those who choose to turn it off.

However, I've often thought about a lot of cool things that could only
be done with javascript (for some reason, my mind is drawing a blank on
what any of those things ARE), mainly for window/object manipulation..  
But I won't do any force-javascript stuff if people object to the idea,
so I'm putting this question out to the group.  Thoughts?
