[mythtv-users] Pvr-350 audio through the soundcard

The way it is working for me is not using the hardware decorder. My
computer is fast enough to software decode the video, but before ivtvdev
the X framebuffer wasn't able to handle it. With ivtvdev I can view
mpeg2 and divx video going through X with the following command "mplayer
-vo x11".
I don't think you will get good results with a PII 300. There are
mplayer patches out there to allow the use of the hardware decoder for
mpeg2 videos.

Is the pvr350 able to play dvd's now with ivtvdev with low load on your
cpu? I'm using a slightly old version of ivtvdev on a PII 300 and it is
not able to playback. I would think the system "should" be able to
since the 350 has a hardware decoder. This system is perfectly capable
of doing it with a em8300 decoder card but I havn't been able to get it
to work with teh 350.
