[mythtv-users] Mythtv on an S-ATA box (help!!)

The way I solved this was to install KnoppMyth to a temporary PATA drive
(soooo easy )
Then upgraded the kernel to 2.6.4 (soooo easy - and I needed it for VIA
SATA support which is only in backports to 2.4.xxx)
The SATA drives now appear (you need to enable SCSI and SATA is in the
low level scsi device list)
Then create some partitions and some lvm2 space (soooo .... hmm well, I
made everything xfs here - on 2nd thoughts reiserfs would be a better
match 'cos it allows resizing bigger and smaller which may be useful for
lvm2 stuff)
then, in single user mode, copied across my root partition, myth
partition etc. (getting fiddly, use cpio in -p mode)
you need to mount the new drive and edit /etc/fstab etc to change references
Then install grub to the new drive (this is quite tricky - RTFM)

Reboot and you're done.
