[mythtv-users] sound went bye bye

My sound was working fine until I connected a digital audio cable to my
motherboard (ABIT AI7) but now I'm not able to get any sound at all, not even
out of the regular output jack.  alsaconfig recognizes all the onboard sound
stuff and I've used gnome-alsamixer to make sure I don't have something muted
that shouldn't be.  To test I'm using aplay to play the KDE startup wave.

What should I try next?
