[mythtv-users] a/v sync problems with nuvexport transcode of mpeg2
.nuv files

I've finally gotten the ivtv drivers stable and working but I still have
one problem that's holding me back from using my PVR-250 all the time (I
also have a WinTV-GO): shows recorded with the PVR-250 lose A/V sync
when transcoded with nuvexport.
Mind you, I can watch these recorded shows just fine. It's only when I
transcode the file with nuvexport that the problems pop up. This problem
seems to be confined to only those .nuv files recorded from the PVR-250.
Shows recorded by the WinTV-GO (and are hence MPEG4), can be transcoded
by nuvexport just fine. I've tried transcoding to DivX .avi, XviD, etc.
No luck. Though the conversion to XviD has slightly better sync than any
of the other chocies.
Finally, I have tried transcoding these shows to MPEG4 first (from
within MythTV) before using nuvexport to produce an .avi file. This
works just fine except that the video quality is noticeably worse.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any ideas on what the cause
may be?
