[mythtv-users] Recompiling MythTV

Hello,
after quite some struggling getting MythTv up and running (mostly 
related to my own incompetence...) now decided to include native Lirc 
support into it. I made the changes in the settings.pro file and tried a 
make distclean and make, as described in the doc (also teied a qmake 
settings.pro). It busts with
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-linux/3.3.3/../../../crt1.o(.text+0x18): In 
function `_start':
../sysdeps/i386/elf/start.S:98: undefined reference to `main'
I have no idea at all what this should mean, not even an idea where to 
start searching.

Well, it compiled once...right after installing...and now as I think 
about it, I had this problem before. I tried Myth already some weeks 
ago, ran into the same problem and could only solve it by deleting the 
whole myth directory and generate it again from the tarball (version 
0.14). But as I don't know exatcly what I have done in this directory (I 
should have written it down, I know...), I am a little concerned about 
starting all over again if I do that. And just after i tried this with a 
copy...it doesnt even compile there this time :-(
Any ideas what make distclean does not remove and what the difference to 
a new extracted directory could be?

Or is this even the wrong mailinglist, should I ask things like this in 
the dev list?
