Close caption data for NTSC/ATSC video is carried in the video user data of
the MPEG-2 frame. You can find out how this is done by looking at SCTE-20
(DVS 157) standard. FYI: Each line 21 only contains two byte/characters.
You’ll probably have to parse this data out of every MPEG-2 frame.

Subject: [mythtv-users] Closed Caption MPEG 7?
I am looking to implement a Closed Captioning PVR that allows me to search
CC text and extract associated video.
Is there a hardware software marriage that would do this within MythTV?
Is MPEG 7 real? Workable?
