You didn't say what version of mythtv you used, so I'll asume you use mythtv
0.14 since you got that error message above.

DSMyth 0.5 was built for mythtv 0.14 and thus speaks protocol version 1.
Your version of MythSource.dll is not from 0.5 but more likely from 0.6.1.

You have most likely first installed 0.6.1 and then installed 0.5 without
removing 0.6.1 first.
This will messup the versions of the dll's (installer doesn't overwrite
newer versions)

If you don't plan on upgrading your mythtv installation, first uninstall
dsmyth completely then install the correct version of dsmyth, in your canse
0.5.

DSMyth 0.5 speaks protocol version 1, 0.6.0 speaks 4 and 0.6.1 speaks 5.
