[mythtv-users] irxevent question

I got my ATI remote working with LIRC on the 2.6.4 kernel through
irxevent.  My system is set to automatically login and start myth when
it boots.  How do I make irxevent start automatically?  If I try to
start it from the command line I get an error about not being able to
access the display.  I apologize for this being a bit OT since its
mainly a gnome question but figured you guys would know.
