I installed Fedora 1 & MythTV using Jarod's guide and apt
and installed all the files 10 days ago.
I have a PVR350.
2.4.22-1.2179.nptl_47.rhfc1.at

As a 1st simplifying step I want to display the image from my Tuner (source external antenna) on my computer
monitor not a TV.

Q1. Does anybody have a modules.cfg file that works?

I have installed MythTV but cannot get it to work.

As a first step I would like to get output to my
monitor (ie normal XWindows screen) outside of MythTV
using the PVR to capture a picture from its tuner.

I used p_tune_gui to select Channel 23 (ITV).
I then capture to temp.mpg and play it back with mplayer

I now have tantalising colour (not the b&w snow of before).

I also tried to get the test card to work but without success
Is the test card a static picture with unchanging colours?

I know the PVR works as I installed it in minutes on a Windows PC
and got a poor quality picture from the tuner.

I have used Gossamer threads and the wiki site but now feel stuck!

Q2. Any hints on confguring the PVR350 gratefully received!

===============

Used /usr/lib/ivtv/ptune-ui.pl

selected PAL, tuner 0,
pal-europe-west

frequency table now pal-europe-west (same freq for europe-east, europe &
ireland)
channel input 2
channel input 3
Channel changed to 23, freq = '487250'

this gives black and white 'snow' with no obvious picture
I am based in the London area.
