[mythtv-users] STEP 3 - Running MythTV

Hi All,

I finally got mysql to run.

I just kept trying different things and I finally got it to run as root 
(not as normal user yet). Anyway, this is what I get when I try to run 
MythTV:

russ at linux:~> mythtv
Unable to connect to database!
Driver error was [1/1045]:
QMYSQL3: Unable to connect
Database error was:
Access denied for user: 'mythtv at localhost' (Using password: YES)

couldn't open db
russ at linux:~> su
Password:
linux:/home/russ # mythtv
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

mythtv: cannot connect to X server :0.0
linux:/home/russ #
