Well over the weekend I upgraded to MythTV-CVS, and compiled it enabeling
XvMC support, did the same for MythTV.0.15.1 what I got was actually a
degregation on performance (more CPU usage) and the BW OSD.

Before compiling with XvMC I was seeing a ~70-79% cpu usage when watching
LiveTV on KPBS-HD after compiling with XvMC I was getting ~80-90% cpu usage.
The Nvidia driver I am using is: NVRM version: NVIDIA Linux x86 NVIDIA
Kernel Module 1.0-6111 Tue Jul 27 07:55:38 PDT 2004.

I would of tought that it should use less CPU with XvMC... Any suggestions?
BTW my kernel is compiled for my CPU which is a AMD XP 2500+.

Well I compiled back disabeling XvMC. The one think I noticed with myth-cvs
as of 2004-08-15 is that there is more interlacing. Some one suggested to
start the front end using "mythfrontend --verbose playback" too see if it
detected interlace and the only things that looks inetersing is the
following:

2004-08-16 22:13:06 Using deinterlace method linearblend
2004-08-16 22:13:07 nVidiaVideoSync: VBlank ioctl did not work,
unimplemented in this driver?
2004-08-16 22:13:07 DRMVideoSync: Could not open device /dev/dri/card0, No
such device or ddress
2004-08-16 22:13:07 RTCVideoSync: Could not set RTC frequency, Permission
denied .
2004-08-16 22:13:07 Using audio as timebase
2004-08-16 22:13:07 Video timing method: USleep with busy wait
2004-08-16 22:13:07 Refresh rate: 11765, frame interval: 33366

I "chmod a+wr /dev/rtc" and still the same issue. Has any one seen this or
know how to fix it?

Thanks.
